When the Why Shifts is a collaborative leadership anthology created by Ambriel Pouncy, founder of The No Permission Series, a global convening that brings visionary voices together to reimagine leadership, culture, and systems for the future.


The book explores a powerful question:

What happens when a woman’s “why” shifts?


Across industries and generations, women experience defining moments that transform how they lead, build, and influence the world around them.


Selected contributors will share the turning point when their purpose evolved and how that shift created ripple effects across organizations, industries, and communities.

Application Deadline: April 30, 2026

Contribution Deadline: (If your application is selected) June 30, 2026

This image may be used in the book banner, promotional materials, and contributor features.

Please upload a second image that represents transformation in your life or leadership journey.

Examples may include:

  • A symbolic representation of change (nature, travel, community, innovation)

Contribution Guidelines

If selected, contributors will be invited to submit a written reflection.


Submission Deadline: June 15, 2026


Submission Format

  • Font: 12 pt (Times New Roman or similar)

  • Margins: 1 inch

  • Spacing: Single spaced


Word Count

Full page: 800 – 1,000 words

Detailed writing guidance will be provided.

 Contributor Agreement

If selected to participate, contributors will be required to sign a Contributor Participation & Release Agreement confirming:


  • Your submission is your original work

  • Ambriel Pouncy is the creator and editor of the book concept

  • You grant permission for your contribution to be edited, published, and promoted within the anthology

  • Participation in the project does not guarantee compensation unless otherwise specified in future publishing agreements


Full agreement details will be provided prior to publication.
